Denver Fashion Weekend

303 Magazine celebrated its ten year anniversary at the 3 day Denver Fashion Weekend (DFW) this past weekend. The first night kicked off with local boutiques; Featured, Age Carriers, Jiberish, My Package and Burton showcasing their fall/winter collections. The second night was dedicated to fashion with a mix of national and local brands. The last night was a hair show featuring local and national stylists and salons.

I attended the Saturday fashion show with fellow blogger Danni. I must say the weather was beyond brisk as it had been pretty much all week, nonetheless, seeing the latest designs from Stephanie O from “Under the Gunn” made me forget the frigid weather.

The first segment showcased designs by Stephanie O. The color palette for her work was primarily black, grey and white pieces, and at times you were teased with a splash of apricot. Color blocking and patterns appeared to be the theme. Blouses, tanks, palazzo pants and cuffed shorts were seen in her collection. My favorite two pieces was the black jumpsuit with white piping and the apricot open back maxi dress.

Steadbrook highlighted an array of printed long sleeve shirts, jackets, hoodies and jeans….casual yet sporty menswear.

Inspyre Boutique showcased styles that centered around a variety of vests, floppy hats and statement necklaces. I liked the fact that the designs showed how to mix and match those primary pieces into your wardrobe to change up your style.

The second segment opened with KADYLUXE showing off an abundance of edgy leggings, sports bras, and lots of spandex.

Andrea Li primarily used black and variations of grey and silver metallic’s in her designs. Long maxis, leggings, short shorts and were showcased along with statement headwear and necklaces.

Eccentricity rocked the runway with snakeskin pants and a black jacket on the first model, while the next showed of a fun white pom-pom sweater, black leggings and boots. My favorite look was the black shift dress and side zipper.

Alicia The Boutique closed out the show with lace playing a theme in some form or another in several pieces. Rounded collars in showcases blouses and dresses gave these designs a very feminine feel. I must say for a second time tonight the black jumpsuit was my favorite from this boutique.
