There’s an App For That

Fashion and tech might not seem like obvious partners but with new apps popping up every day they seem to be working very well together. Here are a few you might want to try.

ShopAdvisorThe Shop Advisor – I love this app. I use it for all kinds of items, not just clothes. It provides a list of stores that carry the item you’re looking including a price history and similar items at a lower price that might suit your need just fine.   If you already know the exact item you want it will send you a push notification when it goes on sale.

thehunt

The Hunt – Who hasn’t seen a picture of a pair of shoes, a jacket or skirt that you just have to have but you have no usable details about it. You can post the picture on The Hunt and the community will find it for you. You can also just browse to check out trends

Polyvore

Polyvore – This app can help you put together your own look book. You can style outfits by pulling items from different stores and sort them however you like (color, brand, style etc.). It’s also a community so other fashionistas can comment on your sets.

StylebookStylebook – Someday when I organize my closet maybe I’ll have time to take pictures of everything in my wardrobe and take full advantage of apps like Stylebook. It lets you create outfits,  organize a packing list for trips and keep track of what you wore when.
