Hey There it’s Ren,
One of our missions with Posh 5280 was to go to New York during New York Fashion Week in February. Why did we choose one of the snowiest months of the year? Well, for us it was our love of fall fashion, so it was an obvious choice for us. So, my friend and fellow blogger Danni and I packed our bags and headed to NYC!
We knew for sure we were going to see two Couture Fashion shows at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and a musical, but the rest of our time in the city was not planned. We made sure to stay at a hotel in Midtown since we knew most of our time out would be in Manhattan. We stayed at the Archer Hotel and it was perfect. The room was a bit small but very modern, clean with a Rooftop Bar and lounge that overlooked the Empire State Building.
The weather was bitter cold the entire time we spent in New York, but no regrets. Continue reading on and you will see why,
One reason, the Musical, “Wicked” which I personally have been dying to see for years. It was an amazing show, well beyond my expectations….loved it!
Secondly, good food/spirits at the renowned Red Rooster in Harlem, owned by famed Chef and Restaurateur Marcus Samuellson. Known for its hip, stylish comfort food, it was well worth the trip across town.
We also tooled around stores such as Macy’s and Lord Taylor and shopped fantastic deals. In addition we were able to find and shop a Sample Sale in Lower Manhattan and again, awesome finds. I would travel to New York annually just to shop!
If you ever get a chance to go to New York City you will either need to pack light and have enough room in your large suitcase to bring back all of your finds or buy another suitcase…we learned the hard way. Seriously, the shopping is that good. It’s an amazing place to visit and would definitely go again.
