Antique Row

South Broadway’s Antique Row is a great place to spend a day shopping.  I don’t do much antiquing but I recently spent an afternoon exploring Antique Row.  The 1100 through 1800 blocks of South Broadway are considered Antique Row.  Most of my time was spent looking for cocktail sets but with 7 blocks of stores there’s something for everyone willing to go on a treasure hunt.  The area has changed over the years to include cafés, bars and dispensaries but antiquing is still the star.  Whether you’re looking for a furniture, jewelry, dolls, china or rugs you’re sure to find something that catches your eye.  Some stores also do restorations and buy/sell estates. Below are just a few of my favorite stores I visited.

Annex Antiques & Interiors

1534 South Broadway

Large variety of collectables from vintage to funky to mid-century modern furniture.  They have a fun outdoor garden of architectural salvage items, garden decorations and signage from various vendors.

1594 South Broadway

Alternative clothing store.  If you’re looking for Dr Martens or Rockabilly clothing this is the place to go.  I bought a Voodoo Vixen dress.  The label makes vintage inspired clothing.

Capital Tea

1450 South Broadway

Charming café that serves whole-leaf teas, handmade sandwiches and pastries. The upside-down pear cake was excellent with my cup of Earl Grey.  They carry all things for teas:  teapots, infusers and strainers.
