November 2 – 5
Colorado continues to attract many to the state with its laid back, easy going feel, mild weather and natural beauty. As such the fashion scene is very eclectic which I truly love and find unique to the mile high city. Massif Fashion Week(MFW) scheduled to kick off November 2 -5 is Denver’s most exclusive, buyer-based runway showcase that focuses on high-end fashion design, quality construction, and ready-to-wear collections. MFW is an intimate runway event catered to retail buyers, fashion enthusiasts, and the garment industry. I usually attend 303 Fashion Week also held this month, a staple event that showcases the hottest local and national designers and trends. I can’t wait to share with you all the juicy details after the Massif Fashion shows.
MFW “Night One” promises to open with a bang with a social event and fashion showcase. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to check out the fashion market sample sale, review videos/short films, and network among fashion enthusiasts like Posh 5280. This event is FREE to attend and open to the public. You can also enjoy drinks and appetizers at the pop-up “Fashion Bar”…you know where I will be.
MFW “Night Two” include killer collections from Kimono Dragons, Eliza Vlasova, Skea ltd, D’Lola Couture, and Crystal Lee. “Night Three” will begin with a tribute to Steve Leon Trujillo (Leon Designs) by El Salon and include 2017 collections from Julia Rhoden, Heggy Gonzalez, and of course one of my favorite designers and Denver’s own, Mondo Guerra.
MFW “Night Four” gets the party started with a hair segment by The Aveda Institute Denver. The Main event, showcased by Viktor Luna, promises the finale night to be nothing short of amazing, integrating live performance, and high fashion, a show worth checking out. Unlike no other runway show, Viktor Luna and Massif Media invite attendees to participate in a unique live production. Beware,if you’re not keen on avante garde work, this show will contain mature content and will be treated as such. So, get your look together for this one of a kind extravaganza.
